Our Worship Service
Our Saviour Lutheran Church is part of Lutheran Church Canada, in fellowship with Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
Our Worship Service follows the Divine Services found in the front of our Lutheran Service Book.
The Lutheran Liturgy is simply an order of Scriptural Readings, Creeds, Hymns, celebrating the Lord’s Supper and Prayers in which God’s people encounter their living Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Holy Communion
We practice Closed Communion, which means we commune with Lutherans with whom we are in doctrinal fellowship; with those who believe that the Bread and Wine are not mere symbols of Christ’s body and blood, but are the very body and blood of Christ.
How this takes place remains a mystery, but we hold to the simplicity of Jesus’ words:
‘Take eat, this is my body.’
(Matthew 26:26; Mark 14:22; Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:24).
With these beliefs in mind, we ask that you speak with the Pastor before receiving the Lord’s Supper at the Altar.
Thank you for respecting our position of love in this matter of Pastoral care.
Those not communing may come to the Table to receive a Blessing; please cross your arms over your chest, so the Pastor will know.
Children and the Worship Service
We encourage parents to bring their children to the Worship Service. During the celebration of Holy Communion, we encourage parents to bring their children to the Altar to receive a Blessing.
Sometimes children become restless during the Service. We have a library which is set up off the Narthex for parents to take their children.

PARKING
The Church Parking lot is accessible from Melbourne Avenue. Handicapped Parking is available in the Church Parking Lot. No overnight parking.
Special Needs: Chairlift - Requires an operator, please contact the church office. Exterior ramp at side door.
